Background
Tom ships inventory to U.S. fulfilment centres from Melbourne. Amazon’s tax interview could not be completed without a U.S. taxpayer number, and after a grace period the marketplace paused his payouts.
What we did
We reviewed his seller statements to confirm U.S.-source income, prepared the W-7 with those statements as supporting evidence, and verified his passport on video. Because Tom was on a deadline we used the priority package with expedited preparation.
Outcome
The ITIN was issued in eleven weeks. Tom completed the tax interview the same day and the held balance was disbursed three days later.
